We have an impressive expertise in real estate sector as we have been engaged in some of the major real estate development operations in Romania. We have supported clients manage their way out through complicated property laws in Romania in various real estate investments. We have undertaken complex due diligence work in connection with land or property acquisitions, provided legal opinions conferring transaction safety in an uncertain legal environment, and advised corporate clients and governments on property restitution issues. Our office helps clients deal in a successful way with complex commercial leases or housing operations. We assist commercial businesses in connection with their expansion of operations across Romania, from land acquisitions and deal financing to store construction issues. We advise clients on construction agreements and support them walk the way through the construction stage to final delivery. We also act for banks and financial institutions secure their rights in regards to asset or real estate financings.

We advised for example RED Management Capital and RED Group of companies, including main shareholder leading American private equity fund Warburg Pincus on corporate, commercial, banking, lease and other legal issues in connection with office, residential and commercial center development projects in Romania in total of over €300 million. We supported French DIY retailer Bricostore secure euro multi-million land transaction and sign the construction agreement for a store location in Calarasi. Our office advised Electronic Arts in connection with lease contract for new headquarters within Sema Parc office building project in Bucharest. We also advised the US Embassy and the US Department of State in Washington in connection with real estate issues in Romania (property acquisitions, lease and housing operations). We advised on land acquisition and construction aspects in connection with new embassy compound project at Baneasa and other housing and lease operations. We also advised US Embassy and the US Department of State in Washington and assisted US Peace Corps on regulatory and property restitution issues.

Our people work experience includes a wide range of real estate transactional work, including advising BRD - Groupe Societe Generale and HVB Tiriac Bank in connection with several financing operations and securitization within € 1.2 billion Baneasa real estate project (including due diligence and legal opinion on property title in connection with financing of the construction of Baneasa Mall, Ikea store, office and residential projects); advising French DIY retailer Bricostore in Euro multi-million land acquisitions and lease operations as well on construction issues and supported the client expend its DIY store network across Romania (including the following locations: Arad, Braila, Bucharest, Calarasi, Deva, Drobeta Turnu-Severin, Focsani, Oradea, Suceava); advising German company Metro Cash & Carry on land acquisitions and lease contracts for expanding operations in Romania (including cash & carry stores in Bucuresti Baneasa, Brasov, Deva, Iasi, Timisoara); supporting German company Real Hypermarket, the retail division of Metro Group, in various Euro multi-million land acquisitions, lease transactions and construction arrangements helping the organization expend its retail activity across Romania (including store locations in Arad, Bacau, Baia Mare, Brasov, Bucuresti Vitan and Cotroceni, Cluj, Constanta, Craiova, Deva, Galati, Oradea, Pitesti, Sibiu, Satu Mare, Suceava, Targu Mures, Timisoara and other prospective locations in Iasi and Bucuresti); assisting Praktiker AG in connection with land acquisitions and construction of DIY stores and lease of premises in Romania; advising REWE Romania in prospective land transactions for store locations in Campina, Pitesti, Bucharest, Constanta (including legal due diligence activity and legal opinions in connection with envisaged properties); advising Porsche Romania in connection with land acquisition and construction of buildings for Porsche Bucuresti Nord, Porsche Bucuresti Vest and Constanta and Oracle corporation on agreement for lease of office premises in Bucharest Financial Plaza; advising Grand Hotel Marriott Bucharest on construction issues and business licensing and Tnuva company on contractual issues in connection with land acquisitions.
